I watched the movie air force one last night. Which is about
a high jacking of the president’s plane, “Air Force One”. In this movie I noticed
that when the highjackers took a hostage and said they would kill a hostage if
the president didn’t come out, when they said this you could start to hear the
music start building up when the highjacker started to count and as he reached
3 the music was extremely noticeable to build suspense then right as it cut off
you heard a shot go off. The music also starts to build up in the movie right
before the president starts a fight with one of the highjackers. You could see
the president look out then as that happens you can hear the music start up
then as the highjacker starts to get closer you can really hear the music so it
starts to build suspense and excitement then as the president jumps out at the
guy it startles you.

ReplyDeleteAir Force One, also uses a lot of mid-range and long range camera shots. The movie uses midrange camera shots to help portray the tight space of the airplane, which causes the movie to be more dramatic. The movie also uses mid shots to help make the action scenes more suspenseful. This shot allows for the viewer to feel as if they were right next to the guys fighting. Using the Jets also helps the viewer pick up on the body language of the characters which helps determine whether they are good or bad. The movie uses longshots to help show the “journey “that the president (Harrison Ford) goes on. Longshots are also used during the action scenes t to show which action a person might take to win the fight. A great example of this is when the president and new enemy leader are fighting on the plane near the loading ramp. Through long shot, the viewer can see all of the parachutes and other gear that was loaded onto the plane and foreshadows Ivan Korshunov’s (the bad guy) death.
