The Untouchables

A movie that i have watched recently that i really enjoyed was called The Untouchables.  This movie which came out in 1987 and stars Kevin Costner and Sean Connery.  This movie is about Federal Agent Elliot Ness's work that lead to Al Capone being arrested and convicted.  This movie made a big use of several different types of camera angle.  The one that stood out most promeniatly to me was the one that was used when Sean Connery's character is killed.  What makes the way this scene looks so interesting is the fact that it, until the very end, filmed from the perspective of the man who is trying to kill him.  All we see is what the assialaint sees leading to a greatly increased feeling of tension than what we normally might feel.  The way this scene is shot also serves to make you feel as suprised as the would be assassian must have felt when Sean Connery turned around and pointed a shotgun into his face.  As a matter of fact this scene is where we get the saying "looks like you brough a knife to a gun fight"
