Blue Mountain State
For my mojo I have decided to write about a TV show I have recently watched called Blue Mountain State. This show is an American comedy series shown on spike. It follows the fascinating college life of the 2nd string quarter back Alex Moran. This show is mostly crude humor pertaining to aspects of college life like football, binge drinking, drugs, sex, partying and the occasional hazing. this show is mostly shot with medium shots and close up shots though out the series. One major literary element that makes this show the way it is is conflict. It shows certain conflicts between friends, enemies, and even teammates. Certain conflicts are more major then others but they always have a way of putting a funny spin on it. the conflict usually starts out in the begging of the show and slowly escalates until they find a solution to the problem at hand. After that most of the time they put a plot twist and they find out the conflict was something totally different then it appeared. This show also displays aspects of mis en scene in which any of the characters that come into play with the foot ball players usually end up getting drunk because of peer pressure.

Dave blue moutain state is one heck of a show. I watched one recently where Moran was going to playa rival school. when they showed up the girl he had a previous embarassing romantic relationship was a cheerleader. I remember seeing his face when the camera zoomed in on him and then panned over to her arrival. The game got delayed because of th e power outtages occuring but thats when the she made her decesion to mess with him. Another conflict was with linebacker teammate and the other teams linebacker got into it. A plot twist occured towards the end where both became friends and the girl Moran was having a conflict with was also the linebackers girlfriend. When they revealed this to the audience a short montage of the infamous day where moran was embassared by the girl was shown. Then one other shot shown was when they were playing the linebacker and the girl in beer pong throught a medium then a close up. When she started getting into the camera zoomed in and tracked her movements as she removed layers of her cloths to mess with moran. Great show episode! The lighting can be natural because this episode was mostly outside ethier through day light or moonlight.
