Cheez-It
The Cheez-It commercial (interupting cheese) uses a variety of propaganda techniques to sell their product. Humor is the main one used, the cheez it saying knock knock, who's there?, interupting cheese, interupting? Cheese! Then their is a kick me sign on the "doctor's" back, with laughter from the Cheez-It. Humor is a very popular way to sell a product. There is a match cut of the center whole of the cheeze it to a wheel of cheese. The doctor doing a check up on the cheese wheel presents an inference, waiting for maturity, as a fact. Cheeze-It sells an image, the notorious talking cheese wheel is shown in every commercial or advertisement. Water is wet is used when at the end of the commercial it says, "because a Cheez-It, real cheese matters." Mimicry of the cheese wheel and the colors red and orange are frequently used in Cheeze-It ads. Close ups of the cheese wheel are also used heavily. The wheel is also partially framed throughout the commercial to reinforce the image. Opposing colors white and orange are used to make the cheese stand out as the center. Juxtaposed shapes are also used, the wheel is very round unlike everything neat and block like in the doctor's office.
