Captain America
I have recently watched the movie Captain America. I thought this was a very good movie. It is about a boy who wanted to be in the military and help with World War II because he lost his parents to it. The only problem with it is he is really small. A german doctor saw his many failed attempts at getting into service and thought he would be a good candidate for an experiment to make a super souldier that would win them the war. The boy then grows a couple feet and doubles his weight in muscle. HE then goes to Germany to fight. There were a few film techniques in this movie. One commonly used technique was music. Most of the movie ws himfighting in war, where there was fast-paced exciting music playing to give the movie an exciting mood. Another film technique used was a deep focus lens. Thiswas used on multiple occasions. One time a deep focus lens was used was when he was still little and he was getting beat on by a bully. A deep focus lens was used to show the buly being way bigger than him. Another use of a deep focus lens was when he was in war. A few times, a deep focus lens was used to show that he was was bigger than the german soldiers to represent his power compared to theirs.

I am a huge fan of superhero movies and I recently watched Captain America. I thought this movie was awesome and much more underrated than it should be. The storyline went along almost perfectly with his original origins. One of the most significant scenes in this movie was when he actually went through the treatment to become captain America. The Room is full of people at all times and there are many meters and other things being monitored. In this scene medium shots truly show the extremely tiny size of the future Captain America. When he actually goes to get the treatment done, it is a medium shot from above as he lays into the device. It shows the scared look on his face and he is in a very low light. After the procedure has taken place and he emerges from the machine the lighting becomes much brighter. The character himself is glowing a golden color. Everyone in the room views him as if he was a new man and he basically is. Every part of his body has filled out and the camera angles show that to all of us viewers. I think this scene really shows the transformation from the tiny and helpless figure to an American Icon that actually goes on to change the history of America’s war.
