Cold Case

Cold case is a very thrilling series about detectives who solve crimes.  I think the methods they use to figure out clues to the crimes is the coolest thing about it.  In the episode i saw, it starts off as a montage in 1980 showing a high school hockey team.  It shows the team playing hockey then you see someone laying on the ice.  At this point, there is a medium shot of the person's body showing blood all around them.  This lets you know that they are either seriously injured or dead.  Then there is a close up of his head to show his wound better and to confirm that he is dead.  After that montage is over, we return to present time as they re-open the case.  At this point there is a montage as they interview all of the people that were at the game to try to find the murderer.  When they interview the biggest suspect, mis en scene is used.  In the flash back, they show that his stick was discovered at the murder scene.  This is why the detectives suspect him the most.
