Doctor Who

One show that I have found myself watching a lot of lately is the British show Doctor Who. One episode in particular that I have watched in particular was the episode almost people. This episode revolves around the Doctor trying to solve a conflict between a team of human miners and the doppelgängers that they has created in order to work with dangerous acids. A freak solar storm has caused the doppelgängers to become sentient and aware with all the memories of the people who they were supposed to look like. This episode is interesting because of the ethical issues that it raises. If something looks like a human and act like a human should they be treated as a human even if they were created in a lab. The reason that this ethical issue is so interesting is because of te fact that as our technology progresses we will one day have to deal with issues like this too. For example we are started to get better and better at cloning we will have to face the issue of why is and is not acceptable to use them for. Also another thing that I liked about this episode was how they used lighting. Throughout most of of the episode the power was out so they were in darkness and shadow so that it really helps to set up the tension that d prevalent throughout the episode
