Top gear
Yesturday when i was going to my dads to hang out with him he was watch one of his favorite tv show which was top gear. It was the episode where two of the guys take a trian around tyoko and one of them drives a ferrari around tokyo and they see who makes it to the top of this mountain first. The train they two guys take goes 200mph but there trip is alittle longer then then the guy in the ferrari but he has to go threw tokyo's citys and traffic. During this race they have camras in the guys ferrari and it is a midium shot to show all of the inside of the car. And the guys in the train have a camra crew with them on there trip and they show a bunch of different shot's they had this one shot when they got off the train the camra crew was far away and they had them run to them showing a extreme shot to a fade in. But once both teams are coming up close to the mountain they had a heleacopter showing a birds eye view of where they were to the finish line which was cool to see. But this show is really good on showing different camra angles of them racing and really making you feel like you are there with them on there race.

I also watched this episode of Top Gear and saw many similar film techniques. The camera that is inside of the Ferrari really gives the viewer the feel of driving in the car and experiencing what the driver feels to a point. There are many shots all presented quickly, because of the fact that it's a race and it gives the viewer a sense of urgency and shows that things are happening very quickly. There are both camera panning, and tracking used in this episode and the majority of shots are medium shots besides the extreme long shot used to show how much of the track is left until the race is over. The close up is also used when the race is over and the camera is filming the driver of the Ferrari. The lighting is all natural light, because the episode takes place outdoors. The sound towards the end of the race is also very important because all you can hear is the engine and shifting of the gearbox which really adds to the suspense of the entire race. This show is great to look at film techniques because there are so many present within every part of the show.
