Hardcore Pawn

For this week I watched the show Hardcore pawn which is based out a store in Detroit.  In the newest episode I saw the owner Les in a heated conflict with his son who works there.  They usually have basic family drama and employee drama occuring since they all work there(daughther, brother, and dad)  While showing the growing conflict with the son and dad,  camera men shoot from medium shops to close ups to get the emotions.  The other main focus is trying to get the bets price for an item while dealing with people and there ludacrist lies to sell the item for more.  The objects are the mis en scene of each person because they are the main point.  They usually play music to build supense when the employees and the customers are in a heated negotiation.  The lighting is mainly the store lights but when customers try pawning cars or big items, they go outside and its natural.  So other than the fighting Les's daughter Ashley was in a arguement with a women over her jewerly.  The item was fake but she wanted money for it.  Finally the lady was kicked out but not before showing her emotions with close up.  They usually edit out what they say but it got bad with her.  The final shot was of her flipping off the store.  One other technique used in the show is the serious of montages to show how many customers were in the store throughout the day.  Overall great show this week
